VALENTINE’S WEEKEND

Sailing has long been an integral part of life in Sandhamn, and for generations the island has been a natural meeting place for sailors. The harbour serves as a hub for both everyday sailing and competitive racing, while the proximity to the open sea and archipelago waters makes Sandhamn a natural starting point for sailing at all levels.
The Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS) is a central part of this tradition and has been closely connected to Sandhamn since the nineteenth century. Regattas, training programmes and sailing events are held here throughout the season, attracting sailors from Sweden and abroad. During the summer months, sailing sets the rhythm of the harbour and contributes to the distinctive atmosphere Sandhamn is known for.
